Our trip to Veneto in June 2021 was a special one—it was the last we took with just the two of us (well, three if you count our dog). As always, Italy didn’t disappoint. It’s one of those places where the magic never fades.
We stayed at Le Colombare, a beautiful farm on a sprawling rice-growing estate dating back to the 1700s. The estate's back garden, complete with a pool, was particularly enchanting and offered the perfect spot to unwind.
During our stay, we explored the nearby cities of Verona and Mantua, both rich in history and charm. A day trip to Lake Garda was another highlight. On our way back, we spontaneously stopped in the town of Soave and hiked up to the Scaligeri Castle, which offered stunning views.
Our final stop was Treviso, where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch and a relaxing stroll before heading back home. It was the perfect way to wrap up our Veneto adventure.
